David founded Ignition after more than 20 years operating finance at the highest levels — from Big Four training at Deloitte, through senior data and systems roles at Deutsche Bank and Merrill Lynch, to building and leading an award-winning UK accounting practice. His work has included supporting businesses from pre-seed through Series A and beyond, building financial controls that hold up under investor scrutiny, and acting as part-time FD for companies navigating rapid growth and complexity. David works with leadership teams who need clarity without noise, structure without rigidity, and judgement they can rely on when the stakes are high.
